Athletics Ulster at their annual awards ceremony on Friday evening last acknowledged Mark English ,LAC, and Tori Pena, Finn Valley as the outstanding provincial athletes in 2013.
Both of course competed at the top level of the sport during that period including participation in the world champs in Moscow.
Tori had once again set a new Irish senior record in the pole vault during the season while Mark had come within inches of establishing a new national senior 8000m record. 
Young athletes from each of the 9 counties were also acknowledged the Donegal recipients being brothers John and James Kelly,Jade Leeper and Sommer Lecky all Finn Valley.
The Ulster council also took the opportunity on the evening to present Services to Athletics awards to Eamonn Giles, Danny Mc Daid and Father John O Donnell a native of Kilmacrenan former President of the national association.
