CENTURY CINEMAS SET TO SCREEN 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF DOCTOR WHO EPISODE

Century Cinemas this weekend are screening two very special shows, on Saturday evening at 7:50 pm they are proud to be showing the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who: ‘The Day of the Doctor’.

Century Cinemas will then on Sunday afternoon at 3pm present “King of Waltz” André Rieu with his spectacular Christmas Concert, Home for Christmas.

Doctor Who was first broadcast on BBC One at 5.15pm on Saturday November 23, 1963. When the First Doctor William Hartnell wanted to leave the series after three years, the idea of renewing their leading man was born.

To mark the success of the worlds longest running and most successful science-fiction series.

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 3D 50th Anniversary Special which stars the current Doctor Matt Smith and also sees the return of fan favourite David Tennant.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery, in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England, and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion.

André Riue: Home For Christmas + Q&A 

André Rieu’s “Home for Christmas”concert is filmed primarily at Rieu’s home, a romantic medieval castle in his hometown of Maastricht in The Netherlands. Concert 1

Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, soloists and choir, André performs 26 holiday classics in his snowy, beautifully decorated garden and Saint Pierter Church across the street from his home.

‘Home for Christmas’ includes special guest performances by The Royal Choir Society Mastreechter Staar, The Sjamaes Children’s Choir and 10 year old ballerina Rosa.

For this very special cinema event André will be answering your questions as he takes you on a tour of his castle, direct from Maastricht, The Netherlands.
