Donegal and Glenswilly midfielder Neil Gallagher has said an Ulster club championship title would be absolutely ‘unreal’ and a dream come true if they can overcome the challenge of Ballinderry on Sunday.  Neil Gallagher emerges through the rain storm at Mac Cumhaill Park, Ballybofey

The midfield powerhouse has been in fantastic form for Glenswilly all year and has been in dominant form throughout their respective campaigns in Donegal and Ulster.

Gallagher and Glenswilly are just 60 minutes away from becoming the first Donegal side to win an Ulster club championship at this level since St.Joseph’s in 1975.

Gallagher told the Irish News, “To go on now and win an Ulster title with Glenswilly would be unreal, it would be very special and something you would never have dreamt of when you started playing.

“An Ulster title is something you think about when you’re playing championship for Donegal, this is our second time playing in the Ulster championship, first time round we were well beaten in the quarter finals but the team has matured greatly since then.

“We’re in a final now and we’re working hard to get over the line against Ballinderry.

Gallagher did admit Glenswilly will have to improve at the back if they want to claim a historic victory.

“Against Roslea when we got the third goal we switched off, we should have pushed on but we were slack and let them back in it with two sloppy goals.

“We can’t afford that on Sunday because we won’t get away with it against the calibre of opposition that we’re facing in Ballinderry.
