The pups are fit and healthy today after being dumped to die just a month ago.
Just a month ago these five beautiful puppies were only hours from death.
The five Labrador-cross pups were thrown into a box and abandoned at the side of a road in Ballybofey.
The little dogs were just a week old and would have died but for the kindness and quick-thinking of the person who came across them.
The pups were brought to the Donegal Pet Rescue Centre who made an appeal for a foster bitch mother to look after the pups.
The pups just hours after they were found abandoned.
The group successfully found a wonderful mother and this picture is proof that the pups have been thriving ever since.
The pups have been nursed back to health and are ready to go to new homes.
Ryan McCauley of DPR said the pups are all in a very healthy condition and will make perfect pets for some lucky families.
“These guys were close to death. It’s so hard to imagine that anyone can still just abandon a litter of pups like this.
“Luckily this person acted quickly and contacted our helpline and we managed to get a good foster mother for the pups.
“All you have to do is to look at the picture to see what a wonderful job she has done,” he said.
