After the very successful launch of their new book “Visions of the Past”, Scowders, Stirabout and Slipping bogs, members of the Castlefinn and Districts History Club have reported record sales!
The committee are astonished at how quick the books are selling and how far a wide they have gone with destinations such as Australia, America and England so far.
Members of the public are reminded that the deadline for posting parcels abroad is next week if they were considering sending one of the books to family and friends as a Christmas present.
The Committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the local shops and businesses in Castlefinn for their support in the selling of the books which is much appreciated.
Castlefinn Men’s Shed: The next men’s shed meeting will take place on Tuesday 10th December at 6:00pm.
Were delighted to say the project will be up and running by early February. If you or anyone you know may be interested in joining please contact Corina or Enda in the CPI Centre on 074 – 9143976.
Doneyloop Youth Club’s Annual Fundraising Christmas Bazaar will be held in Doneyloop Community Hall on Sunday 8th December 2013 at 3pm. TV, tablets, PS3, mobile phone, €100 notes and many, many more valuable prizes to be won on the day.
Why not come along and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and maybe, just maybe win a prize or two. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Messy Hands Baby and Toddler Group: Great fun making christmas decorations this week.
For the next two weeks Tiny Tunes will be coming in to do some music sessions. Then the week after will be our xmas party so you never know who might pop in to say hello The group still runs every Tuesday from 10:30am – 12:00pm. in the CPI Centre, Everyone Welcome!!
Northwest Christmas Wonderland in association with Kidszone Educational Toys comes to you once again from the CPI centre in Castlefinn on 6th to 8th December and 13th to 15th December.
This year entry is FREE with a FREE interactive play area from Kidszone. Visit and photo with Santa is optional and will be priced at attractive family rates to suit all the family. Christmas Market, hot chocolate and marshmallows, Santas reindeer and animals to visit and feed, all cosy and warm in our main hall, we promise you a Christmas Wonderland Experience that you will never forget and its all right on your own doorstep!

Sincere thanks to everyone who supported the big whist drive in Castlefinn, thanks to the parishioners who helped with the tea donated refreshments and prizes, thanks to Larry and the CE scheme for preparing the hall and especially to the players who came from N. S. E & W Donegal, Tyrone, Derry and even Kinlough Co Leitrim, We had 33 tables playing whist and raised €1800 for parish funds.
