BUNCRANA’S minors just came up short today in their Ulster Quarter-Final clash with Co Derry champions Watty Grahams.
The Inishowen side, playing with a strong breeze in the first half in the clash at St Paul’s GAA club in west Belfast, trailed by three points after 15 minutes.
But the Donegal champions rallied and were just a point behind at half-time – 0-04 to 0-03 – in tough conditions.
Grahams, from Glen, moved further ahead after the re-start adding a goal to their tally.
However Buncrana managed to stay within touching distance, scoring a goal of their own.
Grahams however chipped away and continued to add to their points tally and any chance of a Donegal comeback was extinguished when Buncrana were reduced to 14 men in the final minutes.
Final Score in Belfast: Watty Grahams 1-11, Buncrana 1-05.
