The hard luck stories are getting bigger every Sunday as weary members arrive in to the clubhouse with tales of what could have been, if only that put had dropped, but one team had all the luck which evaded the rest of the field. 
Noel Kernan admitted he played like Stevie Wonder after a night on the beer, but he still managed to bag a bird last Sunday, confirming Christmas has really arrived!
His playing partners Noel Fisher and Denis Cullen returned a victorious score of 5 under par, impressive in the wintery conditions.
This week members will have three opportunities to battle for a prize, starting with Saturday morning’s annual Christmas hamper comp, names in to the clubhouse by 10 am for a 10.15 tee off.
Sunday morning is the last of the Turkey scrambles, teeing off at 12 noon, and then the popular cards night on Tuesday night kicking off at 7.30 sharp!
