Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for Donegal today ahead of another period of unsettled weather.
The Wind Warning comes as winds of 50 to 65 km/hr and gusts of 90 to 100 km/hr are forecast throughout the day.
“Windy today with a mix of sunny spells and blustery showers, some with hail and thunder. Turning mostly dry by evening,” said Met Eireann.
There is also a risk of coastal flooding around the period of high tides, according to forecasters.
A cold night is in store as temperatures are set to drop to lows of 0 to 4C.
The weather alert took effect in Donegal, Mayo and Galway from 10pm last night until 6pm today, Wednesday.
