After the heroics of the cup last week Tir Chonaill renewed rivalries with Letterkenny 2nd’s in Carrickfinn in the Ulster Minor League.
With predicted torrential rain and gusts it was horrendous conditions for any sport.
But as kick off approached everything settled for what turned out to be a one sided affair.
From the offset the home side dominated the play winning most of the lineouts and recycling the ball numerous times, the passing movement from side to side was a joy to watch and were easily running in the tries against a usually tough and rigid letterkenny outfit.
It was a monster display from Tir Chonaill with everyone putting in gutsy displays with tries coming from Man of the match Dom Gallagher.
They were further tries from Robert Wurley with two and tries also coming from Paul Gallagher, Robbie O’Donnell, Mark Doherty and Tiarnan O’Dea.
Letterkennys only consolation was that of a penalty try and conversion leaving the score at 61-7 to Tir Chonaill
