The success of the club and individual athletes were celebrated, awards were given to athletes that shone throughout the year in their respective categories and disciplines.
Membership of the club has grown quite considerable of the past year; this was reflected in the addition of two new awards, best newcomer, which went to Lucy Handy in the female, while Martin Donnelly picked up the male award.
Other celebrated athletes on the night included, Aidan Callaghan (Male Triathlete of the year), Margret Kelly (Female Triathlete of the year), Gavin Crawford (Duathlete of the year), Finn Begley (Female masters athlete of the year), Nick Fowell (Male masters athlete of the year), Sinead Treaty (Female most improved) Alan O Mahony (Most Improved Male) and Colin Dean (Club person of the year).

Mark has had numerous Knee and heart operations over the years but has battled through each of these and takes part regularly in long distance swims such as this throughout the year, and is a regular around the waters of Portnablagh, even in the depths of winter.
As well as the senior athletes the club also celebrated the success of two of its junior members.
Christine Russell and Orlaith Fogarty both received awards to mark their successful year. Both have made huge strides in the sport and are amongst the top junior athletes in the country, having travelled to Eton Dorny in the summer months to complete against the best in Europe.
Bright futures lay ahead for these two young ladies.
The club has seen a massive increase in numbers over the past couple months and would like to welcome any newcomers to the sport to attend anyone of our sessions throughout the week.
