Ollie Horgan has added the versatile Josh Mailey to his Finn Harps squad for the forthcoming 2014 First Division campaign.
Mailey re-joins Harps after an impressive debut season in the first-team at Harps.
He produced a number of impressive and assured displays at the heart of the Harps defence last season when he broke his way into the side midway through the campaign.
His ability to play in a number of positions will be beneficial to Horgan.
Mailey can play anywhere across the back four and in midfield, he has massive potential and showed that in glimpses last season when he eventually got a deserved run in the side.
His cousin Packie Mailey re-joined the club last week after a two year absence and the Finn Harps defence could have a family feel to it next season.
It’s another positive move for Harps by securing the services of the talented former Letterkenny Rovers player.
It is also rumoured that Keith Cowan is close to agreeing a new deal to re-sign for another year at the club.
Cowan has been an ever present for Harps over the years and has established himself as one of their key players.
However it is believed that current Harps No.1 Ciaran Gallagher is close to sealing a move to Derry City.
With Gavin Cullen expressing an interest to return after being approached by Horgan it now looks likely that Gallagher could follow goalkeeping coach Declan McIntyre to Derry City.
