Flights from Donegal Airport to Glasglow have been grounded from today (Monday) as a result of the coronavirus.

Flight operator Loganair has announced that the route will be suspended until the 31st of May 2020.

All passengers who had bookings were contacted by the airline and provided with refund, reroute or rescheduling options.

Meanwhile, the Donegal to Dublin route from Carrickfinn has been secured as Stobart Air cuts all international services.

The airline, which operates Aer Lingus regional services, significantly reduced its schedule this week and will temporarily suspend all international flights from Saturday 28th March.

The Donegal-Dublin route will continue as a public service obligation (PSO) route.
