A GARDA sergeant from Donegal helped make a 90-year-old’s birthday a little bit more special on Thursday.
Sergeant John Brady, based in Carlingford, County Louth, called with Tom McDermott on his birthday.
Sergeant Brady, who hails from Inver, called to Tom’s home in the village of Lordship.
“He even brought a cake,” Tom’s daughter, Joanne, said.
“He went above and beyond the call of duty and we really, really appreciate it.”
