HUNDREDS of surfers from around Ireland and Europe have descended on Co Donegal today – to ride massive waves from the tidal surge.
They are taking to the waters off Bundoran and Rossnowlagh with waves up to 70-ft high.
Neil Britton from Finn MacCool Surf School in Rossnowlagh said: “There are people here from all over Europe.
“These are unprecedented waves and they are coming here to surf them.”
Hotels and B&Bs in the south west of the county are reporting a large rise in bookings as a result of the storm.
