Ollie Horgan has added two more signatures in the form of Johnny Bonner and Matt Henry as his Finn Harps squad begins to take shape.
The Inishowen duo signed on the dotted line yesterday and both will be hoping they can play a pivotal role for Harps this season.
Johnny Bonner will be hoping for a more extended run in the side this year than he was afforded last season.
The talented Buncrana man showed his class on several occasions last year under Peter Hutton but failed to nail down a regular starting point.
There’s no doubting the skill and creativity that Bonner possesses and he’s sure to have a big role to play this season under Horgan.
Matt Henry signs having had previous spells at Institute FC and Derry City.
He was was vital component of the successful Derry City reserve side that captured the Ulster Senior League title in 2012.
However, Horgan has yet to resolve the goalkeeping situation and that could be a worry.
The inexperienced Shaun Patton is the only keeper signed at the minute, while former Derry City reserve keeper Seamus Houghton has trained with the club and may put pen to paper.
Gavin Cullen had expressed his interest in joining the club earlier this month but speculation between both parties seems to have cooled.
Goalkeeper Conor Winn impressed in the pre-season friendly defeat to Cockhill Celtic before having to be substituted following a collision with Garbhan Friel.
He may yet be added to the squad in the next few days as the window closes at the end of this month.
