Some fans had queued outside Link2 in Letterkenny for over 36 hours to make sure they got their hands on the much sought after tickets.

However many have been left heartbroken and empty handed as the tickets got snapped up online.

Despite an extra date being added due to the excessive demand for tickets many were left without tickets.

Fans who queued have taken to social media and local radio to vent their fury and frustration.

A combination of people skipping the queue and the printer in Link2 being slow is being blamed for fans being left empty handed.

It’s also been reported that the Gardai were also called as tensions became frayed outside Link2.

One person posted on Facebook, ”I’m absolutely disgusted, I’ve been queuing since half ten last night and I still didn’t get any tickets.

“People were skipping the queue and there was no security to police it.

“It was taking them five minutes to print off six tickets, I just can’t believe it I’m gutted.

“People are in shock there just walking round the car park and they can’t believe it.

Another posted on Facebook, “I can’t believe I spent the last twenty hours out in the rain and wind and still didn’t get a ticket.

“I’m gutted, such a joke, how long does it take to print off tickets, some very angry people in Letterkenny.

Another angry Garth Brooks fan posted, “Can’t believe I slept rough last night and still got no ticket.

To add to the anger of the disgruntled fans there are already tickets on DoneDeal and Ebay selling the tickets for four times the face value.

Meanwhile Link2 have responded on their official Facebook page and said, “We have the same system as every other agent in the country and just the same as every other agent we are only allowed one printer.

“We can only print the maximum of 6 tickets per person each time until the show is sold out and this is what we done.

“If you have any further complaints please contact Ticketmaster Ireland.
