THE KUBE which is based on the hit ITV programme, hosted by Philip Schofield, will make its long awaited arrival to the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey tomorrow night.
On the night 40 contestants will battle The Kube in the hope of clinching the top prize of €4,000.
The total prize money for the night will be €5,000
The 40 contestants will compete for their various organisations, charities, clubs and work places from all over the county.
Doors open at 7pm with the first game starting at 8pm.
The Kube will be followed by Music and entertainment.
HOW IT WORKS
The Format for The Kube is as follows:
• 40 contestants (split into 8 groups of 5 people)
• Each group plays a game. The winner of this game proceeds to the next round i.e. quarter final
• The four remaining contestants in the group have another chance to qualify for the quarter final by playing a different game.
Again the winner of this game proceeds to the next round i.e. quarter final
• Therefore 2 contestants from each group can qualify for the quarter final, leaving 16 contestants
• These 16 contestants are then reduced to 8 contestants (i.e. semi final) after another round of games
• And finally the semi final will then establish the 4 contestants that will take part in The Final
• These four contestants will receive one of the following prices: beaten finalists €250 each x 2no. Runner up €500 and winner €4,000
TYPES OF GAMES
• The type of games played are similar to those on the TV show e.g. Digit, cycle, locate, barrier, cylinder etc.
Tickets are priced at €20 each with Minors paying €10 at the door.
