GAA NEWS – NAOMH COLMCILLE GETTING READY TO RUMBLE WITH FIGHT NIGHT!

Last week’s Fun Fridays Gaelic was cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. It resumes (weather permitting) this Friday (7th) from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. €2 per child and everybody is welcome. Dress for the weather and bring a drink!!NAOMH COLMCILLE GAA

The Club will be taking Registrations for Adults, Family and underage on Tuesday the 4th of February from 8:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday the 7th of February from 7:45 to 8:45 at the clubhouse. Cost is €25 Adult, €50 Family, €50 senior player and €10 underage player. Contact Mark Ferry (087 9154559) or Breda Friel (087 6393503).

 

Naomh Colmcille and Fanad Gaels are holding a Fight Night fundraising event at The Silver Tassie, Letterkenny on 16 March 2014. Training commences this Monday evening (3rd) in Danny Ryan’s at Mountain Top, Letterkenny at 8:00 pm. Tickets for the event will be available early shortly. GAA National Club Draw. The GAA has launched a National Club Draw as a fundraiser for local clubs, with the draw taking place on 17th March 2014. Prizes with a total value of €30,000 are being provided by GAA Central Council. The proceeds from all tickets sold by Naomh Colmcille will go directly to Naomh Colmcille, and will be used towards the club’s 2014 yearly expenditure.

First prize is a trip to the 2014 International Rules series in Australia. Full list of prizes (ten total) can be seen on the club website, Facebook page and poster at clubhouse.

Tickets priced €10 each are now available from Alison Ferry, Paul Callaghan, Adrian Marsh, or any committee member.

 

This year’s Lucozade Sport Club Crusade promotion has now finished. Please continue to collect bottle tops in anticipation of next year’s promotion. Thanks.

 

Training and Match Schedule

Training for seniors and reserves is on Tuesday (4th) and Thursday (6th) at 7:00 pm. Challenge match provisionally arranged for Sunday (9th) – further details during the week at training and on Facebook page. Players to be down at dressing room 15 minutes before training session begins. See Facebook for latest updates/changes. New players welcome. Reminder that the use of mouthguards will be compulsory for all players from January onwards.

 

Naomh Colmcille Weekly Lotto.

This week’s numbers are 20, 15, 18, 22, 12 and the three winners are Johnny Callaghan, Gerard McDaid and Monica McDaid who win €25 each. Next week’s jackpot €4600. The club are seeking volunteers to act as Lotto sellers and join the existing rota. The Lotto is the main regular source of fundraising for the club so if you can spare some time to help out it would be greatly appreciated. Contact Breda Friel if you’re able to help.

The Club would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support of the Lotto as it gives the club the essential means of continuing to give our local kids and adults the chance to avail of a great and healthy pastime.
