GARDAI are urging extreme caution on the roads this morning after an overnight storm, with strong gales continuing to batter the county.
There are reports of trees down in Leck, Letterkenny, Redcastle and Ardara. The Blaney Bridge is also closed and Arranmore ferries disrupted.
Drivers of high-sided vehicles are being urged slow down as cross-winds on the Gap between Donegal Town and Ballybofey are causing difficulties.

The ESB are currently attempting to reconnect power to over 100 homes in Stranorlar and Malin Head.
More than 2,000 homes in Donegal Town as well as homes in Fanad and Lettermacaward are also without electricity.
