Sam Hegarty has been appointed as the man to lead the Finn Harps reserve side for their forthcoming USL campaign. 
Hegarty has been involved with Finn Harps underage sides over the last number of seasons working closely with Sean ‘Wizard’ McGowan with the club’s U19 side in 2012.
He was also a part of the Finn Harps reserve management team last season during the tenure of Paddy Foy.
However he had to leave that role before the end of the season due to work commitments.
It was officially announced earlier today that Hegarty will take charge of the reserve outfit for the season ahead.
It is expected that the side will be made up of players from the club’s U19 side and some senior players not involved with the first team will feature for the side throughout the year.
Hegarty will aim to hit the ground running as Harps kick-off their new campaign against Letterkenny Rovers in two weeks time.
