The inclement weather conditions of the last few weeks are continuing to play havoc for Finn Harps as their failure to get a pitch in Donegal means they have to travel to Fermanagh tonight just to get a pitch.
Harps will play the Irish International Schools team tonight on an artificial surface in Irvinestown, Fermanagh.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Finn Park, but with the new season just a few weeks away it was decided not to risk damaging the pitch ahead of the new season.
Harps had hoped to secure a pitch somewhere in Donegal but were unable to do so and now make the trip to Fermanagh to get some pre-season game time.
Harps manager Ollie Horgan is also the manager of the Irish International schools team and will be keeping a close eye on both sides.
Harps have stepped up the intensity of their pre-season preparations over the last week, they played two tough games against Sligo and Derry on Saturday evening and Monday afternoon.
After tonight’s match they’ll train collectively again tomorrow night before travelling to Dublin on Saturday to face UCD.
