A house was attacked and a window broke at a house in Letterkenny in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The incident happened at The Elms at around 1.15am.
Gardai say they believe an unknown married carried out the attack.
A spokesperson said “We are asking residents in that area to contact us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 if they observed anything that might progress our investigation.
“If anybody was in the area at the time who observed this male or who had a dashcam, we would like them to contact us also.”
