Appeal for witnesses/dashcam footage after tragic Barnesmore accident

Gardaí are continuing investigations into a fatal incident in which a young woman lost her life last Friday in Donegal.

Amanda Kinsella, aged 27, died as a result of her injuries after she fell from a moving bus and was then struck by a passing car.

The tragic accident occurred at Barnesmore Gap outside Donegal Town at about 3.45pm on Friday afternoon last.

Ms Kinsella, a popular young woman from Carlow, was living in the Middle East and had travelled home for a holiday which included a trip to Donegal for the wedding.

Following the collision, Gardaí completed a forensic investigation at the scene and are putting all efforts into a thorough investigation for Ms Kinsella’s family.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the townland of Ardnawark, Barnesmore Gap, Donegal Town this afternoon and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
