This year Bundoran boxing club will have two boxers in the National Stadium Dublin competing in the All Ireland Championships after a good weekend of boxing in Newtownstewart at the the Ulster championships where Bundoran took home 2 Ulster titles.
The two boxers now that progress too the All Ireland Championships are Shane Gillespie (BOY2) who is defending his National title from last year and Martin Sweeney (BOY1) who is in his first year of competing and has got the talent to go all the way and Box his way to glory.
Last Sunday Bundoran’s Shane Gillespie over came Ethan Mc Guckin (COOKSTOWN ABC) in a split descion 2-1 to become the Ulster Boy2 Champion at 57KG in a very entertaining fight.
Martin Sweeney also had a good day on Sunday where he became the first Bundoran man of the day to become the Ulster Boy1 champion at 63KG.
Both boxers now move on too Dublin in the National Championships next week to compete at National Level in the All Ireland stages.
