Donegal are trailing Monaghan at half-time in this afternoon’s Division Two league final against Monaghan at Croke Park.
Donegal have relied heavily on the attacking duo of Micheal Murphy and Colm McFadden for inspiration.
McFadden and Murphy have both scored three times each with Donegal’s other point coming from the boot of Patrick McBrearty after just thirty seconds.
Monaghan have kicked some wonderful scores and the inside forward line of Conor McManus and Kieran Hughes are causing the Donegal defence a huge amount of problems.
Late frees from Murphy and McFadden have edged Donegal nearer to Monaghan at the interval having trailed 0-10 to 0-05 with just three minutes of the half left.
This game is very much in the balance however and Donegal will be hoping they can kick on in the second half and take the national title back to the hills tonight.
