This year we have a new interactive gardening experience for all attending The North West Garden Show 2014 The Gardens of the 7 senses. 
These new show gardens for 2014 have been sponsored by relevant business in the community, for example our Sound garden has been sponsored by North West Hearing Clinic in Letterkenny.
Complete with gravel paths, rustling leaves and running water plus a visual array of colourful plants this garden will highlight the use of sound in a gardening setting.
The Balance garden sponsored by Babyzone and Kidszone Educational Toys, will be all things child friendly from edible plants to a balance rail, full of colour and fun!
The Blue Stack Special Needs Association has acted as advisors on the relevant plants to suit this multi sensory concept of gardening.
The gardens will remain a permanent feature beside The White House gardens long after the show is over, and will be open to the public to enjoy throughout the summer.
The Gardens of the 7 senses celebrate Sight, Sound, Perception, Balance, Taste , Touch and Smell.
They promote the value of therapeutic gardening, and the empowerment of the people-plant connection.
You will enjoy a journey through the garden as a sensory experience, and explore ways that these personal discoveries can be used to improve the quality of life, to value the senses and to live in the moment.
The 2014 Northwest Garden Show will be held on the grounds of Castlefinn Partnership Complex, on May 24th and 25th.
The very popular White House garden will also be on display and this year hosts NEW Vintage Crafternoon Tea with optional crafting workshops with Edel Mc Bride and a space to sit back relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
