Figures released show that O’Neill’s shop in Bridgend is only equalled by Dublin’s GPO for claiming the most jackpot lotto wins.
The little border shop has claimed a staggering 12 major lotto wins since the lotto was set up.
And another Donegal store, McKenna’s of Muff, is also included in the top six winning nine different jackpots.
The owner of O’Neill’s shop, Pearse O’Neill, says he hasn’t a clue why they keep winning.
“We are waiting on our 13th win this year. Our last win was in 2011 and we never actually found out who the winners were,” he said.
And Pearse isn’t complaining about winning so many jackpots as he gets €15,000 each time one of his customers gets six numbers up.
