A Table Quiz will take place on Thursday 28th Feb at 9:30pm in aid OF THE FRIENDS OF LETTERKENNY HOSPITAL. Proceeds towards the purchase of a Cardiac machine, which will eliminate the need for patients to travel to Dublin. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
St Patrick’s Day Celebration of Irish Culture, Burtonport.
It was agreed at a recent meeting that committee members would once again visit the local businesses in the Rosses area to request sponsorship in the form of prizes / financial donation etc… which are needed as prizes on the day. We hope to do this over the coming fortnight.
We would also be grateful to receive donations from any individuals in the community who feel that they may be in a position to donate something as a prize. Please let us know about the gift donation ASAP by ringing – 0863836546. We are also calling all marching bands/ traditional musicians/ singers/ Irish dancers in the area to consider sharing your talent with the community for a couple of hours on this day. Thank you.
Service of Remembrance
Letterkenny General Hospital’s Annual Interdenominational Service of Remembrance for little babies who have died due to Stillbirth, Neo-Natal Death or Miscarriage will be held on Sunday 3rd March, 2013 in Conwal Parish Church (Cathedral Square) at 4 pm. All Welcome.
Parish Retreat
The Parishes of Kincasslagh, Dungloe and Falcarragh have come together to organise a retreat in Ards to help us celebrate the Year of Faith.
It begins on Saturday 2nd March 2013., at 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. The theme is “Let there be Faith.” Conducted by Fr Kieron Shorten OFM Capuchin. The Cost €30 includes 3 course lunch and refreshments bus to and from Ards and the cost of the retreat itself. Three people have booked a place so far. Please contact Fr. In order to raise the public’s awareness of the Governments intentions to legislate for abortion Public Meetings are being held in ‘An Cuirt’ Hotel, Gweedore on Thursday, 21st February, at 8pm and the “The Plaza” Buncrana on Friday, 22st February at 8pm. Why not come along and find out why such legislation is not necessary and have your questions answered. The Speakers are, Joe McCarroll, ‘Pro Life Campaign’; Bernadette Smyth, ‘Precious Life’; Bernadette Goulding, ‘Woman Hurt by Abortion’, and Peter Saunders, ‘Christian Medical Fellowship’, England.
