Milford woman Amber Barrett is backing Ireland to show exactly what they have when they face world champions the US.
The Hampden hero says Ireland have ‘nothing to fear’ as they face the back-to-back world champions on a mini-tour this weekend.
Vera Pauw’s side will meet the world number one side in Austin this Saturday before facing them again in St Louis the following Tuesday.
But the striker – whose goal sent Ireland to their first World Cup – is confident that they can deliver a performance.
‘Of course, it would be difficult for any team coming here but we are always quietly confident about our performance,’ Barrett said.
‘Everyone is really excited about these two games and that we can put in a good performance.
‘We have nothing to fear, we have proven that in the past, and that’s not going to change any time soon.’
