A group of youths who threw roof slates over buildings narrowly missing cars and pedestrians have been told to apologise or face the consequences.
The four youths climbed up onto the roof at the rear of the popular Hegarty’s Home Interiors in Buncrana this week.
They then pulled the slates off the roof and launch them over buildings and onto the town’s Main Street.
Hegarty’s said someone “could have been killed” if they had been hit by a roof tile.
They have now posted a picture of the four culprits whom they have identified and warned them to apologise.
A spokesperson posted on the business’ Facebook Page “We caught these guys up on our roof last night at 8:20pm, they pulled slates from the roof and proceeded to throw the slates blindly over the highest pitch of the roof and on to the main street.
“The slates narrowly missed cars and people walking on the footpath. Someone could have been killed.
“We have a picture of the four individuals concerned and have further close up pictures with which we were able to identify them.
“We would advise a speedy apology!”
