A CO DONEGAL based doctor has been hit with a massive €137,415 bill by the Revenue for failing to declare all his income tax.
Bhupal Suryavanshi, Gort na Greine, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, was found to have under declared his tax by almost €75k.
As a result of a Revenue investigation, he was also hit with an interest bill of €25k and penalties totalling more than €37k
The medic is among a number of Donegal people named in the quarterly tax defaulters list issued today by Revenue.
John Crossan, Porthaw Glen, Buncrana, received fines and penalties totaling €14,930 for the underdeclaration of income tax in an Offshore Assets investigation.
Shopkeeper Neil Cunningham, Glassagh, Derrybeg, Gaoth Dobhair, made a settlement of €48,689 for underdeclaration of VAT and income tax.
Builder Paul Gardiner, Farnagh, Ramelton, made a settlement of €83,552 for the non declaration of capital gains tax.
Money lending agent Kevin A James, Glenwood Park in Letterkenny, made a settlement of €177,800 for the underdeclaration of income tax.
Alyson McKnight, a company director and farmer of Beechwood Park, Kiltoal, Convoy made a settlement of €70,000 for the underdeclaration of VAT.
Donegal property developers Redbridge Developments Limited, the Heneys, Donegal, settled a €247,000 VAT bill.
Flooring contractor Thomas Patrick Eunan Sheridan from Craig, Rathmullan, had to pay €42,000 for the underdeclaration of PAYE/PRSI, VAT and income tax.
Cormac Gallagher, Kilmasney, Newmills, Letterkenny, was fined €2,500 for the illegal selling of cigarettes.
Restaurateur John Boyle, Upper Main Street, Dungloe, was fined €633 for failing to hold a current liquor licence.
Fabra Catering Limited of Bridge Street, Killybegs, was fined €1,250 for the same offence.
Publican Thomas Lee, Dunfanaghy, and Patrick O’Hara, Cloghore, Ballyshannon were also fined €633 for failing to have a current liquor licence.
Ramsey’s Stores Limited, Market Square, Dunfanaghy, was fined €1,000 for the same offence.
Thomas Ryan, publican of the Village Court, Kilmacrennan, was fined €633 for not have a licence.
John Blaney, shopkeeper, The Lagg, Milford was fined €1,000 for failing to have a current mineral oil licence.
Michael Anthony Boyle, Riverside Park, Carrick, was fined €2,500 for the illegal use of red diesel.
Fruit and vegetable distributor Edward Buchanan, from Westbrook in Buncrana, was also fined €2,500 for the illegal use of red diesel.
