Irish Paralympic gold medal hero Katie-George Dunlevy will have her official Paralympic homecoming event this evening.
The homecoming event will take place in Mountcharles – the native home of her father, John.
Katie-George took home a superb Paralympic Gold in the Women’s Time Trial B road race, as well as two Silver medals in the Individual Pursuit B and Road Race B.
She then followed that up with two more Gold medal-winning performances just weeks later at the World Championships in Zurich, taking the top step of the podium in the Time Trial B and Road Race B events.
Katie-George’s tandem partner Linda Kelly will also be at the homecoming event, which gets started at 6:45pm this evening.
They will make their way into the village from the Upper End, led by St Peter’s School Reunion Band, with a guard of honour being provided by members of the Donegal Bay Rowing Club.
Refreshments will be available at the Shamrock Bar afterwards as well.
