DD LOCAL: CASTLEFINN NOTES

Ballylast National School: Sponsored walk will take place on Sunday 24th March at 11:30am. The walk will start at the Riverclub, Castlefinn and go to the school. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Fancy Dress is optional. Adults €5 and Children are free. Everyone is welcome.

 

Messy Hands Baby and Toddler Group: Runs every Tuesday morning in the CPI Centre from11.00am-12.30pm. New members are always welcome and this is a great opportunity to get children socialising from an early age before playschool.

 

Community Walking Group: Runs every Wednesday morning at 10.30am. All new and past members are welcome. This is a great opportunity to come along and get to know people in the local community under the guidance of your local walking leader. Whist: Ladies. 1st Bridie Campbell, Castlederg with 178. 2nd Geraldine Vambeck, Lifford with 172 and 3rd Brigid Edwards, Castlefinn with 162. Gents: 1st place was a tie between Francie Curran, Castlefinn and Paddy Friel, Glenswilley with 168. 3rd Berni Mc Cullagh, Sion Mills with 165. 1st Half Davy O Donnell, Letterkenny with 89. 2nd Half Patsy O Hagan, Cloughfinn with 84. Snowball next week is €110 for 182 or more. Everyone is welcome on Wednesdays to St. Mary’s Hall, Castlefinn at 8:30pm.

 

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop: We would like to make an appeal for clothing, bric-a-brac and furniture for our shop. Arrangements can be made to collect or deliver. Items which we are looking for are Coffee Table, Sofa Bed, and 2 4ft beds. If you can help please call

Robert Emmetts G. F.C: Membership enrolment night for 3013 will be held in the Club rooms at Stranamuck on Wed. night the 27th. Feb. at 7-30. Membership fee this year is €35 and an official membership application form is available for completion.

 

Community Gardening Course: Would you like to learn how to grow your own fruit and veg, avail of the use of a Polytunnell, learn about pests and pesticides and soil testing in the garden?
