Donegal’s Irish-American Congressman Brendan Boyle has teamed up with legendary TV ‘president’ Martin Sheen to urge America to vote for Kamala Harris in the Presidential elections.
Sheen, famous for his role as President Barlett in the West Wing, says the American people are in the ‘fight for their lives’ during this election.
“There is so much at stake,” Sheen said. “We can not afford to stand on the sidelines. This is the fight for our lives, the lives of our country and the lives of our children’s future.”
“You were absolutely one of my favourite presidents, President Bartlett,” said Congressman Boyle.

Democrat Brendan Boyle – the son of Glencolmcille native Francis Boyle – is also running for election to retain his seat on the House of Representatives. He has been in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2015 and is confident of returning to Washington representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd congressional district.
Polls close on America’s general election tomorrow, Tuesday 5 November, as the battle between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris goes to the wire.
