LAURA'S PARTY FOR ST VINCENT DE PAUL - SUPPORTED BY DONEGALDAILY.COM

A 13-YEAR-OLD Donegal girl has persuaded her parents to open their nightclub – to help others this Christmas.

Laura Black is the daughter of Jason Black, the owner of Letterkenny’s top nightclub Voodoo.

And this Sunday the club will open its doors for a kiddies disco and for Santa to help raise money for the less well off this Christmas.

All proceeds will go from this Sunday afternoon’s events to the local St Vincent de Paul.

Said dad Jason: “My daughter Laura wanted to do this for SVP and it’s fantastic, as you know SVP locally do a sterling yet very challenging job all year round supporting local families and individuals.

“As a community this Sunday we wish to support SVP in their endeavours to make a difference this Christmas. So this Sunday from 3-6pm we throw open our doors at voodoo to help … We will have for the adults free teas & coffees with fresh mince pies & cakes for all to enjoy, with great festive music.

“And for the kids we have SANTA arriving for photos & telling Christmas stories from the North Pole.

“His ELF little helpers will be face painting for free & the kiddies will have their very own FREE Christmas disco in the club.

“We feel its really important everyone enjoys the Christmas season as best we can, so please drop in and make a difference for someone or someone’s family, be really much appreciated.”

There is no charge for the events – patrons are asked to make donations and all those donations will go to St Vincent de Paul.
