Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Angela Crawford, Ard McCool wins €50. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €1,800. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 2nd March – Joe Sweeney, 9th March – Charlie Doherty, 16th March – Bernard Devine and 23rd March – Cathal Doherty.

 

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Joe Maxwell, Killygordon who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

 

The winner of the players draw this week was Sean Sweeney. €4 to be paid weekly to ensure entry in the draw.

 

Reserve Team Manager

The club is currently seeking applicants for the position of Reserve Team Manager. Anyone interested please contact Chairman Andy Doherty on (087) 6843311.

 

Membership

Adult membership costs €30 per person with a concession rate of €50 for couples (an adult and their partner/husband/wife). Underage registration costs €10 per child or a maximum of €20 for a family. New members are very welcome to join the club. All players must have membership paid before taking part in games. Contact club Registrar Eamonn Kelly on (087) 2942974.

 

Minor Board

Underage training for girls and boys starts this Saturday 2nd March at 11.00am. New players of any age are always welcome and can register before training starts. U12 boys training also starts this Saturday 2nd March from 10.30 to 11.30am. All players should attend and new players are welcome also. Players are now required to wear gumshields at all training sessions and games.

 

The club is carrying out an audit to establish the number of members who have completed foundation, level one coaching and child ethics courses. Anyone who has completed any or all of these courses should let Kathy Kelly know by text (087) 7647168 or e-mail to secretary.redhughs.donegal@gaa.ie.

 

Night at the Races

Thanks to all who organised and supported the ‘Night at the Races’ in Brownes on Saturday night last.

 

St Patrick Weekend Day of Culture

The club will be hosting a ‘Day of Culture’ at the pitch on Saturday 16th March from 2.00pm to 5.30pm. There will be various activities on the day including ceili dancing, traditional sessions, storytelling, face painting and lots more. Refreshments will be served. Entry for adults is €5 / €3 for children. Everyone is welcome.

 

Coaching Courses

There will be a ‘Goalkeepers Coaching Session’ at McCumhaill Park on Monday 11th March at 7.30pm. Clubs are to send three goalkeepers from minor upwards. Team coaches are also encouraged to attend.

 

There will be a workshop on ‘Lifestyle – Getting the Balance Right’ at the clubhouse this Thursday 28th February at 8.00pm. This years minor panel should attend and others are also welcome. If you wish to go text Stephen Gallagher on (087) 2054484 as places are limited.

 

Sympathy

Sincere sympathy is extended from the club to the Catterson family, Liscooley; the Gallagher family, Meenlougher and the Browne family, Meenanilt on their recent bereavements.
