StEunansIt was a very disappointing day on Sunday leaving Croke Park empty handed but nevertheless, both the Seniors and Minors gave us all a magnificent summer and made us all dream again, so thank you to both panels for that. Hopefully the lads will give it another real go next year in both grades.

The Senior and Reserve championships are scheduled to get underway this Sunday and our teams face a tricky trip to Malin in their opening games. Throw-in times are 1:30pm and 3pm. Please do your best to get there to support the boys.

The U16 hurlers created history last Thursday night in Convoy when they defeated their arch-rivals, Buncrana in the County A Final on a score of 3-09 to 0-16. It marked the club’s first ever U16 A title and also the first time the lads managed to beat a very strong Buncrana team. It was an excellent team performance on the night where no quarter was asked or given and Man of the Match went to Niall O’Donnell who bagged a very impressive 2-09 with his younger brother Shane getting the other goal!

The U16 girl’s footballers will take on Moville tonight (Thursday) in Buncrana under lights in the A Championship final with an 8pm throw-in. The two teams met a few weeks ago in the group stages with our girls winning a very close contest, please get down to Scarvey to support them this Thursday.

The U16 Boys footballers await the results of Tuesday night’s games to discover who they will face in the Northern Championship semi-finals this Friday night (26th). Keep an eye on social media for updates of time, venue and opposition. The U16 Dev. team are scheduled to play Red Hugh’s at home in the Shield on Friday as well.

The U13 boys have qualified for the Northern Final and await results from other games to see who they will face. The Development team travel to Burt this Wednesday for their final game with a 6:30pm throw-in.

We will host the Co. Senior Hurling Final between Burt and MacCumhaills this Saturday at 3pm, any available stewards please be at the park for 2pm.

The U14 Girls travel to the Kilmacud Crokes 7-a-side this Saturday (27th). Bus leaves car park of the Mount Errigal Hotel at 5am sharp. Best of luck to the girls, enjoy the day.

It is likely the Minor football championship will be delayed until the Senior championship group stages are completed at the very least, keep up with social media for updates.

The winning numbers this week for the lotto were 10,12,20,24. There were 5 x match 3 winners each getting €20 Two Villians c/o The Central Bar; Maria Mc Cafferty, 28 Caffrey Ave; Conal McGonagle, Cottage Bar (all Adrian); Sean Dunne, Fernhill and Benny Doherty, Foxhills (both direct debit).
