Gardaí have launched an investigation after a baby was found dead in Co Longford.
The baby girl was found unresponsive at a residential property yesterday morning.
A postmortem will be carried out today.
Gardai say the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí said they were investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death.
