Intercontinental Rally Challenge Champion Kris Meeke took time out from his hectic schedule to talk to Donegal men Denis Ferry and Les O’Donnell who are preparing for a 1,000 mile drive through Alaska, driving the Dalton highway and arriving at the frozen arctic ocean some 350 miles north of the arctic circle .
Dungannon man Kris, who also drives for television show show Top Gear , seen recently driving a new road going Bentley coupe v12 in a wrc stage whilst taking pace notes from James may , has vast experience driving in all conditions ,just returning himself from a very cold and snowy Finland .
His knowledge passed on to Denis and Les of these colder climates and adverse driving conditions will only stand them in good steed .
We are so lucky to have people like Kris around us who are world champions but also take time for local people. Denis and Les would like to thank Kris for his support and wish him all the best for 2013 which is set be big year for the Dungannon man.
