Over ONE HUNDRED people completed the Belfast Marathon as part of an on-going fundraising initiative for Paul Doherty.
Paul 6, from Killygordon, was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy which left him in a wheelchair. 
But his mother Ann-Marie never gave up hope of him walking one day and now in March, Paul underwent a number of major operations in the USA.
Those surgeries were deemed successful by the medical personnel that performed the procedures.
The fundraising initiatives to help Paul achieve his dream of finally getting the opportunity to walk continues as part of the Mammy, I Want to Walk campaign.
The most recent fundraiser was the marathon in Belfast and Paul's family have been overwhelmed by the continued support for the campaign.
The event has been long in the planning.
A hardy group of organizers had recruited runners of all abilities across Donegal, Tyrone, Derry, Dublin, London and further all in aid of this great local cause.
TWENTY-ONE relay team’s crisscrossed the streets of Belfast to cover the 26 miles and 385 yards.
It was impressive turnout from the local athletic community.
Ronan Roddy from Admiran was the first to cross the finish line for the group.
