All the movers and shakers getting ready for the International Sheep Shearing Championships which takes place in Burt.

All roads will surely be leading to Burt on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May for what promises to be Inishowen's biggest and most awaited event of 2015.
That's because the All Ireland, International and Six Nations Sheep Shearing Championships are returning.
Many will remember their last visit to Burt in 2009 when over 20000 made their way to the Grianan Estate for the now legendary festival of music, rural crafts, family fun and, of course, sheep shearing!
This year's plans are for an event as ambitious as, or even more ambitious than, the 2009 festival. Work has been ongoing for many months and final preparations are underway at the Estate.
As in 2009, a new Grianan Queen has been crowned and this time the much coveted title has gone to Burnfoot's own ever charming Arlene Arbuckle. Arlene will be tasked with formally making the presentations to some of the world's best shearers following a gruelling set of competitions which will attract competitors from all over the world.
Festivities kick off in earnest on Friday night with a concert by the one and only Mike Denver in the 'Big Shed'. Tickets are priced at €15 and can be bought at the door.
On Saturday visitors will be treated to a host of rural craft displays, fun fair, face painting and balloon modelling, falcon display, petting farm, cooking demonstrations by the inimitable Brian Mc Dermott, gourmet food quarter and hundreds of trade stands as well as a range of side attractions too numerous to mention.
The sheep shearing competitions will run all day in the yard itself while families will have the opportunity to enjoy a marathon of live music and entertainment in the 'Big Shed' right through the afternoon and into the early evening. There will be no shortage of refreshments with fare for every taste available all day.
Ample parking is available and each pass will entitle the holder to come and go freely over the course of the day. Saturday night rounds off with a concert by the ever popular Jim Devine and, again, tickets are priced at 15 euro and are available at the door.
On Sunday we will do it all again, this time with sheepdog trials included, while the shearers battle it out for a host of winning titles including the All Ireland and Six Nations contests!
If first class entertainment and a memorable experience second to none is what you're after, don't miss this opportunity to savour the delights on offer at the Grianan Estate this June Bank Holiday weekend.
