The Falcarragh farmer, who was yesterday jailed for 12 years for the abuse of seven children, denied all allegations when approached by the woman.
The couple had lived together in East Donegal but Corcoran had never told the woman of his deranged past.
The woman put the allegations to Corcoran after she was visited by social workers from the HSE to inform her of the allegations against her partner.
But the farmer from Dunmore, Falcarragh, flatly denied the allegations and said they were made up by people after a fall-out over the sale of land.
Corcoran’s court case had divided the Donegal market town.
The farmer was a well-known figure in the town and attended local marts and sales.
He was often spotted in the town around Christmas time where he made and sold Christmas wreaths.
Locals in Falcarragh are angry that some people in the town supported Corcoran – even though he had pleaded guilty to an astonishing 183 offences.
“He may have got 12 years in prison but these young people will be scarred for life,” said one local man last night who knew Corcoran.
“It’s a pity there are some people who believed Corcoran’s denials rather than victims. I wonder what they think now that he has pleaded guilty?” he asked.
We understand there may have been many more victims who never went to Gardai.
Officers only learned of the sickening attacks after some of the victims plucked up the courage to approach a third party who immediately contacted Milford Gardai.
Now others are planning to come forward – and Corcoran may face yet another case against him.
