Buncrana GAA Notes For Week Ending Sunday 30th December

Congratulations: All at Buncrana GAA would like to congratulate Claire and Paul McNicholl on the recent birth of their baby daughter. Congratulations also to proud Grandparents Patricia and Eamon and Uncle Fergal.

Applications for Managers: C.L.G Bun Cranncha is seeking applicants for the following positions: Mens Senior Football Manager, Senior Reserve Football Manager, Senior Ladies Football Manager, and Under 21 Men Football Manager. Interested parties should contact Club Secretary Grainne on 0876351664 or via email secretary.buncrana.donegal@gaa.ie with an expression of interest in the relevant position. The closing date for applications is the 31st December 2012. Please leave details of name, contact information and the team(s) you are interested in managing.

Christmas Charity Swim: Well done to the Buncrana GAA Senior Footballers who battled the cold on Christmas morning during a charity swim to raise funds for Insight Inishowen, an excellent local charity. Thanks to Gareth Porter, Calvin Jones, Liam McGinley, Kevin O’Loughlin, Rónán Doherty (Fahan), Odhrán Doherty, Rónán Doherty (X), Oisín Doherty, Paul McGonigle and Noel O’Donnell. Thanks also to Roisin Doherty who supplied the much needed hot whiskey and to chief photographer Aine Daly.

Coaching: The Ulster GAA Coaching Conference is taking place in Cookstown on 26th January 2013, the Croke Park GAA Coaching Conference will take place on 12th January 2013, all coaches who are interested in attending please contact Coaching Officer Odhrán Doherty. Anyone interested in doing a Foundation or Level One coaching course in the New Year please contact Odhrán Doherty also.

Ryan Bradley Coaching Sessions: Ryan Bradley GAA Coaching Sessions for under 6′s are taking place every Saturday in Crana College, with children asked to be present at 11.15am. A €2 contribution will be used exclusively to purchase equipment and gear for participating children. The sessions focus on fun, enjoyment, participation, balance, coordination and basic skill of football and hurling.
