One of Donegal’s best-known hotels is planning to get the New Year off to an explosive start with a list of events to cater for everyone. 
Jackson’s Hotel will officially launch the Gathering and 2013, with a night to remember with hundreds of visitors joining them from home and abroad.
Country Star Mick Flavin and his band as they take centre stage for a sensational New Year’s Eve party which also coincides with their own momentum occasion as they commemorate 25 years in Irish Country Music.
At midnight, the hotel will be piping out the old and in the new in the company of their family and friends. This is one of many events that will take place at Jackson’s Hotel in 2013 in order to engage with the global Diaspora and entice those that have left or have an interest in Irish history to return in 2013.
Jackson’s Hotel will hold their first Irish Coffee Making festival to highlight its accomplishment as being home of the renowned Irish brew since its discovery by owner Joe Jackson in 1945.
The festival will consist of Irish coffee demonstrations with competitions and prize giving, a Food and Craft fair from locally grown produce, along with many more activities to rejoice this celebration.
The hotel is also creating an ‘Irish Experience’ taking place from the hotel, where guests have the opportunity to partake and witness the Old and new Irish Traditions and discover the Irish heritage.
This unique experience will have an emphasis on 1945 which was the year the hotel was founded initially and will involve various activities both within and outside the hotel to coincide with the Gathering.
The Twin Towns Gathering festival will be taking place on March 15th -17th 2013, and along with the support of Jackson’s Hotel plan to set a Guinness World record for the most individuals at one Gathering event whose name is any variation of Patrick or Patricia.
