A couple of upsets in the Championship this weekend has turned the table on its head, with a three-way tie for top spot. Only two people correctly predicted that London would beat Sligo, Joan O’Donnell and Longford manager Glenn Ryan, although he also incorrectly predicted that his side would beat Wicklow! In the bonus round 3 people correctly guessed the delightful Niall Morgan would only score 1 point in this years Championship getting them ten points, Anthony McGrenra, Gareth Crossan and David Curley, while 4 people got it right that the combined score in the game would be 26 points, Mo Kelly, Pat Curley, Daragh Kelly and Michael Sweeney. The top 10 are:
1st Michael Sweeney 39
2nd Gareth Crossan 39
3rd David Curley 39
4th Joan O’Donnell 37
5th Manus Boyce 35
6th Clare McDaid 35

*Seniors*
Moville 2-9 CLG BnaG 1-13
The Seniors made it six wins out of six with a last gasp winner to get them out of jail in Moville tonight. That score came from an unlikely hero in the shape of full back Conor McNulty who popped over, with his bad foot no less, with almost the last kick of the game. Playing up the hill and against the breeze in the first half The Gallowglasses started brightly and after 15 minutes were 5-2 up. However a goal for Moville sparked them into life and they soon started to get on top and were becoming first to every ball to run in half time winners 1-5 to 0-5.The second half was a battle, with not much free flowing football being played due to the wet weather. Scores were pretty much tit for tat before a fortunate goal from Cathal McGettigan bringing na Galloglaigh level with 10 minutes remaining. However, 5 minutes later a long high ball into the full back line wasn’t dealt with and ended up in the back of Sean Gallaghers net. It looked like lights out for CLG BnaG but they showed unbelievable battling qualities and magnificent character to fight back and score 4 points in quick succession to seal a great win much to the delight of the na Galloglaigh players and management. Manager Nigel Black highlighted Lorcan Friel, Sean Black and Enda McHugh as best for CLG BnaG
Team: Sean Gallagher, Cormac Friel, Conor McNulty (0-1), Anthony McPaul, Sean Black, TJ Evesson, Enda McHugh, James Doyle, Lorcan Friel, Barry McNulty, Chippie Barrett (0-1), Pauric Curley (0-1), Paddy Peoples, Cathal McGettigan (1-4), David Curley (0-6). Subs: Darragh Black for Peoples (20m), Anthony Fisher for Doyle (45m), Caolan McGettigan, Jamie Heena, Brandon Toye.
*U12s v Cloughaneely*
Cloughaneely ‘A’ 2-6 CLG BnaG ‘A’ 1-8
The ‘A’ team were beat by a point tonight by a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-8. With 3 minutes remaining the young Gallowglasses were 5 points down but fought back magnificently and when James Moore hit the back of the net they drew level only to be defeated by a point right at the death. Best for the ‘A’ team were Kelly Ann Buchanan, James Moore, and Dylan Dorrian.
Cloughaneely ‘B’ 1-7 CLG BnaG ‘B’ 0-7
The ‘B’ were also beat tonight by 1-7 to 0-7 in a tight game with the second half breeze hampering their scoring ability. Best for the ‘B’ team were Oisin Haley, Eoin O’Donnell, and Allanah McFadden
