Up to 200 HSE workers have now received a back-payment of up to €2,000 for a pay increment they never received.
The situation involved an increase in pay for home-help workers which was overseen.
The HSE has now addressed the issue and back-payment of up to five years in some cases has been made.
The move has been welcomed by Cllr Michael McBride.
“I am delighted the HSE have been very active in addressing this issue and people have now been reimbursed this money.
“This is very welcome news for these workers, many of whom have had their hours cut recently because of cutbacks,” he said.
