RAPHOE are celebrating tonight after winning the Linden Cup – and bringing it back to Donegal.
The local lads travelled to Deramore Park to take on Bangor in the showpiece final, and came away 2-1 winners.
The Section One leaders went behind to a Hunter goal early on.
But the Donegal lads bounced back to level before half-time before Lecky fired in the winner.
More than 100 fans travelled north for the final, but there was general disappointment at the lack of hospitality for what is one of the biggest events in the Ulster hockey calendar. The clubhouse was closed – and there wasn’t a drop of tea to be had.
