Donegal captain Michael Murphy believes that Monaghan have the size and quality to ruffle their feathers and that the men from the Farney County will not be underestimated by the All -Ireland champions in Sunday’s Ulster SFC Final in Clones.
Donegal are a physically strong side themselves and are renowned for their strength and power. However, Murphy expects the Monaghan men to up the physicality stakes in Sunday’s crunch clash.
Murphy said,
“They are a huge team, they have some huge men around the middle and they have the forwards inside that can do serious damage.”
“If you look at them defensively this year they have been very sound, they will have a game plan and we know we will face a massive test so we will not be underestimating the challenge Monaghan will bring.”
“They are playing on their own patch and have an opportunity to win an Ulster Championship, they have been there or thereabouts for the last couple of years and will come into this game Sunday confident of nailing a result.”
“But we will be prepared and ready for the challenge ahead.”
