Fine Gael’s Deputy Joe McHugh & Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh have asked Bus Éireann to establish parking space for disabled drivers and passengers at Letterkenny Bus Station.
This follows Bus Éireann’s acceptance of a request earlier this summer from Deputy McHugh and Cllr Kavanagh for a wheelchair accessible Donegal-Dublin bus service.
Deputy McHugh said:
“Bus Éireann’s decision this summer to establish wheelchair access on its Letterkenny-Dublin route was a step in the right direction.”
“My colleague Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh and I worked hard to secure this service for Bus Éireann customers in the north-west.”
“I compliment Bus Éireann management for listening to logical and reasoned representation. This will be a 21st century service.”
“Bus Éireann should now complement this new service with parking space at Letterkenny Bus Station for disabled drivers and passengers.”
“This week I have raised this issue with Bus Éireann management. Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh is also making representations through Letterkenny Town Council.”
