Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville said he believes Killybegs native Seamus Coleman has the ability to follow his former manager David Moyes to Manchester United. 
The former player is now a pundit on Sky Sports and he believes Coleman has the right attitude and ability to play for Manchester United.
Neville said he was impressed by Coleman during Ireland’s friendly match against England in May.
He also said his brother Phil now assistant manager to Moyes at United and who played with Coleman for three seasons at Goodison has huge time for the Donegal full-back.
Neville said ”He had a absolutely fantastic night at Wembley.
“I think he’s a good kid. I speak to my brother Phil quite a bit and obviously he sat in front of Phil for a couple of seasons at Everton.
“Phil’s got a lot of time for him. He’s an honest kid, an attacking full-back similar to Baines on the other side in that they both like to run forward.
“Probably at the moment he’s behind Baines in terms of quality of delivery into the last third but I think he does offer an opportunity.” 
Neville believes that Coleman’s flexibility could see him make the progression from a Premiership player into a Champions League one, similar to the flexibility of his current Ireland team-mate John O’Shea who spent several seasons at Old Trafford.
“It’s good to have flexible players in your squad but sometimes, it can be to the detriment of the individual.
“Coleman works either from right-back or right side of midfield and I don’t know whether that could be a little bit of a downfall for him if he doesn’t settle into one position.
“I think he has the ability and attitude to make it to the very top and play for a club like Manchester United.”
Coleman is currently preparing for the new Premiership season which kicks off this weekend.
